Sorry to double up on posts - I have posted a plea for help in the pest forum but no-one seems to be able to help, so thought perhaps somemone in the know may be able to help here.
We have been successful in growing celery this year and spent alot of time wraping stems in newspaper then earthing up etc and all looked bril. Until 5/10 and Mr D found the leaves were going discoloured. Upon looking in the vegetable expert book it seems we have celery leaf miner. Full details of my worries can be found on the thread in the pest forum but basically I wondered if anyone had ever had this, what they had done about it and if their crop was successful? The problem seems to have got worse since then despite my regular picking off of affected leaves so we sprayed with the garlic/chilli stuff even though we again had received no reply on a different thread as to wether this would work - yep we are getting desperate now!
