    Thank you, much appreciated

I did mean to get this done over the weekend, but it never quite happened and my poor greenhouse is still lying on the ground. DEFINITELY next weekend!

i had a placcie g/house until we had strong winds some years ago,the winds took the roof off the shed (12 x 6 joisted timber roof) and a neighbour saw our g/house in the air ,going over the town centre at about 50-100ft in the air, never to be seen again, new g/house is bolted to a base which is concreted all round to the 18ins deep foundations, have had a few panes blown out after 70/80+ mph winds ,highest was the "shed" storm which was in three figures (100+) ,glad that doesnt happen very often...

Daughter had a new greenhouse last year up in Ayreshire and was completely mangled in the first 60+mph winds. Manufacturers gave a full refund although they claimed it was daughters fault as their greenhouses are not built for strong winds. She then paid a bit extra and bought a Rhino and has had no problems since.

I decided to go to the insurance option. A loss adjuster is coming out tomorrow. I hope he is a gardener!

Our greenhouse had the same, all that it was fit for eventually was cutting up and its on the way to be recycled, even the panes got snapped in the winds, still, a new one is on the christmas list now

Just bought a 6x12 simplicity from the Greenhouse people. The insurance assesor agreed on £950 for my old one, so I thought I should use this to move up. The new one has toughened glass roof struts and glazing bars that should help with the wind. Fingers crossed!
And I got a 10% discount just for asking

You got £950 from a 8x6 poly gardman?

                Your insurance assessor needs retraining

Please ignore everything I say, I make it up as I go along, not only do I generally not believe what I write, I never remember it either.

Yup, I told him it was nearly £300 plus B&Q wanted 375 to erect it, plus there were 3 led growlights with slight damage rootrainers, shelving ect
