I always chit my potatoes too although I only grow earlies & it's more out of habit than any proven theory. I grow potatoes in bags & in a potato tub as I don't have room to grow them in the ground but I think they get some protection in bags & containers from soil borne pests & diseases & I don't get problems with slug damage etc. to the tubers, the yields are fairly small though.

by Marb67Well, I collected a lot of apples fallen in Autumn that were perfectly fine. Stored in the shed on wooden racks with plenty of air able to get between them. So why atlre they now staring to go over by rorring or the whole apple going brown and soft. Gutted as I had enough to see me into next year. ...1 PhotoToday, 02:36 PM
