      ..........unless they have been covered by enviromesh since being sown!

      Slugs can sometimes have a field day with them mind..........

        I found a frozen slug on the back yard today ............so I thought I'd give him a helping hand to thaw out, with a little bit of salt

          I too keep them in the ground, but covered with 6 or more inches of straw - it' the only way I've been able to keep digging them up over the last month. The ones near the edge of the raised bed tho have been frozen solid... !
