I sowed some Autumn something (Giants? Champions? Kings?) leeks today, though I just scattered them over a seed tray half-filled with compost and covered them. Hope they don't mind being transplanted!
Also moved a few of my chitted Arran Pilot pots to their grow bag today, with the next lot to do tomorrow or Tuesday.
I already have onions on the go, and am waiting on my pea plants and bell peppers to germinate. I admit the peppers are an experiment!!
Started off another 12 Brown Onions (set), 37 Red Onions (set), Tray each of Lettuce (All year round and Little Gem), 5 pots of Cherry Tomatoes with 4-5 seeds in each pot, and 18 Cabbages.
I grew them one year in modules, they were fine..! Last year i grew in a seedbed and they were very poor...?? Might go for the seed tray method this year..?
By all means give it a go but I have read that beetroot do not like to be disturbed so mine are grown in loo rolls or direct into the bed.
