Ok Wellies, spill, am intrigued what foolproof method do you have coz mine is a bit of a joke (dont have a any form of method )

I got very brave last year, I threw out those out of date and Freecycled the duplicates and ones I knew I wouldn't grow. Still have a sweetie tin full and the new season isn't quite here yet. I thought I was safe from catalogues until I cleared my table in preperation for Christmas and found 3 just waiting to pounce.

The trouble with addictions is not only do you have to admit to them, you have to want to change.... and I don't think I am ready to change just yet

I have mine in boxes which are divided into group, eg legumes etc the boxes live in my seed/scion fridge, I'm sad enougfh to have a dedicated fridge I draw long and involved charts and print them off which in theory means I plant the right stuff at the right time in the right rotational bed. I usually lose my print off several time a year so its a good thing I do it on the computer so I can print another ! I'm also subscribed to something that sends me an email each month reminding me what to plant. It would be foolproof if I followed what I was supposed to do at the right time. But something life goes too hectic !

I seem to have gathered loads in a reasonably short period of time and already have a list of ones to buy for next year!

I wouldn't mind but I only have a yard. Goodness knows how bad it would be if I were lucky enough to get an allotment

I just try to think of it not as an addiction but as an environmental hobby, makes me feel much better when I look at the boxes of seed packets I already have or when I'm at the GC till with another shedload of seeds. Then there's the HSL seeds of course and the ones I buy from Harrogate show twice a year....... it just goes on and on!
So Solway Cropper, with 98 packets you're just a beginner in the seed packet stakes. Will I change? Nah, I love my addiction.

I've also got a bit of a seed problem. Since saving my own it's gotten worse and I now use four lock and lock boxes to store them in. Will have to invest in a proper container at some point.

Thought I was doing well for this coming year (bought seeds well in advance so I don't get too tempted by all the new ones coming out for this year) until I accidentally joined the HSL again and have ended up with seven new packets of peas and beans to not have the room to plant.

I am indeed a beginner, but my doctor says that admitting there's a problem before it takes hold is the only way to stop the inevitable slide into total, all-consuming addiction

I have 97 types of French Bean, and that's not including the ones that you get free or cheap for green beans like Sprite etc.....

I dread to think how many different varieties of seed I've got. Probably best not to start counting anytime soon
