The first of the Hungarian Hot Waxs are through, that mean so I have the Hot Wax, Red Cherry and some Cayanne which were from last years fruit.

Just need the Scotch Bonnet and Habanero to show themselves now.

White Habs and Twilght sown 11th January are through but still no sign of the chocolate Habs or Naga Jolokia. They've been in a heated propagator near a window so don't know why they've taken so long. Time for a second sowing methinks.

Lots of Trinidad Scorpions have come up.. but still only 1 Chocolate Jolokia (which has taken just over a week to show any signs of its first true leaf )

Yep, i have two 16 watt T5 fluorescent tubes on a timer for 14 hours a day

The mustard habs are growing very quickly i just took a look at the growing tip and saw a flower bud.. it's only like 3-4 weeks old (obviously im not expecting it to produce a pod.. but if it does.. bonus! )

TS, some of those seedlings look a bit leggy.. but since its not long until the vernal equinox hopefully they'll speed up their growth pretty soon

I would be tempted to pinch out the bud at this stage....it aint going to produce and its just going to take enegry from vital root establishment.

True.. but if it's already used energy producing the bud then surely i should just leave it to it?

I forgot to water mine last week - lost quite a few I blame the ill wife! Argh! Still, at least I have time to sow some more!

your shout really....i would think it takes a lot more energy to then produce the fruit from the bud. Cant do any harm tho.

Getting great germination rates so far.
Have got healthy (for now anyway) seedlings of Dorset Naga, Gambia Red (self saved) Fatalli (self saved) Trinidad Scorpion, Congo black, Bolivian rainbow. Numex twilight, and a few various coloured habs, if I can keep them all healthy and no damping off/drying out it could be a good start.

When can I move young plants from the heated propogator

I am growing lots of pimento de padron and my young plants are thriving at 19degrees in the heated propagator

I am running out of space and wondered if they would continue to thrive on a a sunny windowsill of my centrally heated house

Any advice welcomed as I have not grown them before.......bought a packet of seeds on the ramblas in barcelona and it had many hundreds of seeds for 1 euro 50. 40 out of 40 germinated and I hope to plant them all outside in may!

Light is the crucial factor... get them on a sunny windowsill for as many hours a day as poss, then bring them inside the curtain at night (windowsills get very chilly after dark)
