The problem with rounded personalities is they don't tesselate.

Thanks popples you're too kind. I kept them on our bathroom windowsill for the first few months - it's west facing - gets quite sunny and warm later on in the day. Things seem to do really well on there. They get put out into the blowaways when it's warmer and brought in at night. I should point out that Galina's are supposed to be an early variety. Most of our others just have flowers or very tiny fruits. We have a couple of black krims with larger fruits but no where near ripe yet.

They were the first of mine to show flowers.

            • Mine have flowers on now ! whoop. sown 23/3, not open yet but pretty much there.

Have noticed a couple of top branches (trusses? trussi? ) have curled right over though, no sigh of nasties.. wonder if it was the bitterly cold nights I didn't fleece them on recently?

              • I have toms set on all of my early toms now. However, the ones that are starting to change colour are those from cuttings of last year's. It's the way to go for extra early tomatoes I think.

Thank you Shadylane. I have sent you a PM.

My Sungold has just gone into its final pot. It would be 2ft tall if I hadn't buried half of it
It has 6 flowers open now, but it has been living in the kitchen for a couple of days again, since the wind snapped one of my other early toms. Not sure how the low light level will be affecting it.

                      • What are GI?

I have flowers on Sungold, PWFB, Principe Borghese, Il San Marzano Lungo, Gardener's Delight, Moneymaker, Tumbling Tom and Minibel and one of the Black Trifeles is thinking seriously about it.

                              • I am going to pick the first truss of ripe tomatoes off my early Shirley. The started to ripen 3 weeks ago and turned yellow, but havnt altered shade since, so I think this must be the final colour
