No. I might if I wanted to ensure no cross pollination with a specially rare beefsteak or heritage type with the sitcky-out bit.

I intend to try that with chillis this year, but can find out very little about the type of glue, actual process apart from a thread here.

Do you mean for seed saving purposes? If so then it's not really necessary for most types but as Flum says, would be useful for some old types.
