DIY greenhouse irrigation

Just wondered if anyone had made their own greenhouse irrigation system from odds and ends? Was thinking about using some fine hose and some buckets suspended above the toms this year and trying to create a drip feed as I can't always get down everyday.

Anyone any ideas? Cheap and cheerful is my style by the way!

How do you want to suspend the buckets?GH framing might be not strong enough to support the weight of the bucket full of water.

Didn't really mean suspend! I meant holding it above the base of the toms really. Perhaps on another upturned bucket or on bricks?

I've just today chucked an irrigation system in the bin - it was good for one half of the greenhouse but the other - it just didn't get to.

Could you have a bucket of water with string dipped in it so that the string would bring the water to the plants as they needed it?

I know about the syphoning part, it's whether anyone has used anything special on their hose/airline to get a constant drip or just used holes?

I have one of these systems with a pouch and drippers you can set individually. Pouch fits to greenhouse frame. Works ok but from time to time, one of the drippers(never the same one) seems to open up and the whole reservoir empties into a single pot.
