  • Do you Pepperdew?

I really love those little mild chilli peppers that come in jars under the name "Pepperdew". Would like to have a bash at growing something similar to store in a similar way.
Anyone got any ideas as to a suitable variety? I don't want to blow my brains out, so nothing too hot, thanks!

Pepperdew seeds are copyrighted, you can't buy them. Older threads here: http://www.growfruitandveg.co.uk/gra...pers_4207.html

You can grow Piccante which is so similar as to be indistinguishable to most people. It has no heat, the heat comes from the stuff they pickle them in

Fascinating, I'd never heard of these (can you tell I don't get out much?)

You can buy them in all major supermarkets FF, in the pickle section - they're quite dear

Lovely stuffed with cream cheese or as a pizza topping ingredient.

Thanks for the links TS. I wondered if it was possible to do something similar with a mini sweet pepper and just spice up the pickling liquid. I'm pretty sure the local garden centre has some mini pepper seed varieties, so will probably have a go with them.
