Which tomatoes should I buy?

T&M have sent Grumpy a £5 voucher. (I don't know why they keep sending them to him when I'm the seed addict!) and they have some interesting looking tomatoes.

I thought I'd go for Black Cherry, because a lot of you have given it good reviews, either Glacier or Stupice, which are supposed to be cold tolerant and Sweet Baby, because it's only 99p, so keeps me within the £5.

But there are 7 pages of tomatoes

I also like the look of Black Russian, Balconi Yellow, Ildi, Tigerella and Yellow Stuffer.

Which would you choose?

Had Ildi ages ago and really liked them but never got round to growing them again! Duh?

Matina are tasty and a good cropper.

I got the £5 voucher also, and spent nearly £20, the P&P was £4.50. so I got free postage and 50p off.

if you go through the gardeners world offers page tot he T&M site it sometimes gives you free p&p. Ildi are fantastic, I grew them last year and took the trusses off in september then kept them hung in the garage until november! Got about 60 on each truss. Also balck cherry are my favourite tasting toms!

I'm coming to the conclusion I definitely want Ildi, but I'll wait till after we've been out shopping next week, in case we find them cheaper somewhere. (Is that at all likely?)

Don't blame you! Hope you get some good tomatoes.

I know what you mean though, there are so many varieties to choose, it can get really confusing. I'm not the most decisive person at the best of times, and can spend hours agonising over seed catalogues.

I always make incredibly long wishlists and then have to whittle them down.

No little furries, also just high enough to stop the chucks jumping for them! I hung them bang in the middle so nothing could climb to them or jump!

I thought ildi had a very good taste and looked very impressive on the plants giving a great yield for the space they take up. i will be growing a couple of them this year. All in all I will probably do 6 or 7 varieties this year I've got issues!

I grow Stupice every year and they have a lovely flavour and are a really productive variety. They also produce fairly early.

I think I must have issues too Steve. I'm up to 8 varieties so far this year.
