We have this growing on our new Lottie, I am not sure what it is.

I have a feeling it is a weed but something is telling me not to get rid. There are a few of them and they dont seem to be random, more deliberately placed.

I am sort of hoping it is horseradish! If so how would I tell without oiking it up!

    Thanks in advance

Looks more like Chard to me Munch. Horseradish leaves will have died back for now.

You'll notice the chard puts on a real growth spurt as the weather warms up. Keep picking them so they don't go leathery. You can steam or stirfry them, some people cook the stems separately from the leafy part, but I don't bother.

Munch - don't worry about horseradish. When it grows back you can have some of mine to grow on, as long as you promise to put it somewhere where it won't matter if it grows a little wider than you hoped.

I'm waiting to send some to PW so as soon as it shows, I'll let you know.

              Just don't go buying any!
