    Hi is it okay to move some onions I planted last winter to a new bed? It was 1st year growing veg last year and i have realised i plant onions in same bed and not in the next bed(crop rotation) any advice would be good

    If they are overwintering, and you didn't have any onion white rot; then technically - it is in the same year so I'd leave them be. Just plant your new ones in the new bed.

    The reason being is that they have spent all winter growing roots and in a few weeks, they will kick start growing above ground - so you will lose all the winter gain.

    What is going in your crop rotation after onions?

      I have this dilemma every year with my crop rotation ... something's always in the wrong bed

      Just leave them be - they should be up and out by July
