I agree that there was too much in the first show but we wanted everyone to get a good idea of what is coming up in the series.

Many people have been asking for a new gardening programme for many years and that is what we are trying to give you. There is no big budget behind us - at the moment. So we are limited to what we can do but your support will help us attract more budget and will give us the opportunity to extend the programme and the amount of new episodes per month. We would like to go to a weekly show but this involves a lot more budget than is currently behind it.

We are aware of a small band of viewers who are posting negative comments because we didn't include them as presenters in the show. I'm not saying they are from this forum but like other hobbies - a few people are members of many forums. We can't do anything about this. All we can suggest if that those 'haters' don't watch any more.

There has never before been a TV gardening show that allows the viewers to interact so much with the programme makers. We have outlined what is happening between now and November but if viewers ask us to cover a certain topic then we will include it in a forthcoming show. Many viewers have already suggested some very interested topics which we are currently working on.

As for the comments regarding the chicken section. We contacted DEFRA prior to filming and they confirmed that you can give the foods mentioned to chickens. Like everything in gardening there are many ways of addressing the same topic.

The whole aim for the series is to keep the average amateur gardener in mind. You will never see us tell you how to grow a herb garden - rather a herb patch. It's back to basics on a basic budget. No formal gardens - just normal gardens ideal for the first time gardener.

We have many interesting allotments and gardeners coming up and hope you continue to watch and support this new programme.

    Thanks,

    Sean.

Ok, maybe not the best start. But it can only get better, so it's a thumbs up from me More please.

For a first programme, I enjoyed it. Personally, I would get rid of the cooking bit - there are already much better cooking programmes on TV and valuable time was wasted IMHO!

The program is simply too short, and presently trying to cover too much and as with the chicken part, perhaps not too well just yet. We'll see in the fullness of time how future shows pan out, but for me, any gardening programme is very much welcome.

I regularly give talks to horticultural and allotment clubs and it's amazing how little information is being made available to amateur growers. For example, do mycorrhizal fungi really work? Are some of the products we use for vine weevil control being suggested as responsible for the demise of bees? etc...

I reckon you've got some great potential and could soon gain a good following from the growing community.
I have followed Claire on you tube for a while now and enjoy her easy style.
I dont want to look round huge open gardens cared for by professional gardeners like they did on the new GW and detest all cooking progames.
The new channel has potential and is going to improve with age.. and its not fronted by an over paid celebrity and that is good.
I think that most of us dont have pots of money to throw at our hobby and only have modest plots and gardens so the new progam is aimed at us.
            Keep em coming Sean.

Anyone watch the second episode? I saw it this morning (recorded). Still undecided about it, but wondering why so much time was given to the campaign to move clocks forward by an hour.

It was a bit rough around the edges and a bit home made but isn't that the "grow your own" ethos???

We all recycle, re-use, make do and mend and our effort and hard work produce our well deserved crops. I thought the show was all of that and certainly has got potential.

It was like having a chat with your allotment neighbour and receiving advice and tips.

                    Keep it up guys.

I liked it, but was very disappointed to find that the whole "channel" thing was misleading. One 30 minute show a fortnight is not a channel.

But I like the stuff on their website and the exposure of the rent increases for plot holders.

Give them time to take on board feedback and get a good balance. I hope it never gets too professional and polished though, I like the grass roots feel.

"multi media channel", rather than TV channel, perhaps?

Active website, videos on YouTube etc, facebook presence ... and an occasional TV programme (which presumably is their most expensive route of providing content to their audience)

                              Or maybe intentionally misleading? <Me?Sceptic?!>
