north or south wall?

Hi all,

As some of you now know I am prone to asking the odd daft question, generally typing before thinking!

I have just moved into a new house, and although not ideal, the garden is north west facing. At the bottom of the garden is a huge 8ft fence. Because of the direction the garden faces, does this mean the fence is south east facing?

What would be good to grow up it if this is a yes? Just been given some telephone climbing peas?

If you mean that when you stand with your back to the house and look down the garden you are facing north west then yes this side of your fence will face south east.

I just couldn't get my head around the orientation of the garden at all and was going to suggest standing with back to the wall in the morning to see where the sun is and thus east. If you know where east is, the rest follows.
