Does anyone know of a climbing courgette and if so where can I get the seed.

Never heard of this, there are climbing cucumbers - so rationally there should be a climbing courgette. Googled it but no luck.

I was going to try to make my courgettes climb this year as ground space is at a premium in my garden. I was just going to wind them round the string each time they grew an inch or two. I'm just a beginner to this grow your own lark so perhaps I will find a few more ideas shattered by the end of the coming growing season?

I wonder if you could trail one from a hanging container - bit like the hanging one for the tomatoes, but planted in the top instead. Wouldn't take up any groundspace either!! Worth try

There are two varieties that are trailers so they should be suitable. Tromboncino from www.mammothonion.co.uk and Lunga Bianco from www.seedsofitaly.sagenet.co.uk Hope these will be okay.

Thanks Lesley Jay, tromboncino was the one I had heard of but couldn't remember the name of. Hopefully this will utilise more of the space on the allotment.
