  • Sorry all havent been on this thread in several days but it made me laugh to see where things had left off

Stocked up on my precious seeds for this year and now getting strated to plant. I have to admit I was very naughty and just planted some watermelon, sunflowers and sweet basil 4-5 days ago without checking the moon cycle doh!

Will try to follow more closly but sometimes I just plant without thinking, must be all the night air
Peaceful days are in the garden!

This should take us to the close down period for the forum. Jot down your roots reminder!

In advance 31st March/1st April is flowering veg schedule on biodynamic - Synodic still maintenance time (no seed sowing).

        Happy sowing/planning/maintenance to all!
Remember roots for next two days sowing schedule on biodynamic.
Synodic - no sowing, use time for maintenance.

        • Tomorrow's Reminder 1st April 2011 Lunar Planting Schedule

Biodynamic - Sow Flowering Vegetable Plants such as Broccoli, Cauliflower, Globe Artichoke
Synodic - This is not a good time to be sowing anything in the garden. Instead use this time to weed and harvest from the garden. It is an excellent time to start building a new compost heap.

I've been reading this thread avidly as I do really want to be able to prove to myself that this system does work. However, to read that this is not a good time to be sowing in the garden when I've been doing so at this time of year successfully for many years, flys in the face of my own experience.

It may not be the optimum time for those following the lunar cycle and I accept that but I do not accept the sweeping generality of your statement. eekh, no smiley's ???

It's not my sweeping statement! Don't follow synodic would be my suggestion! Try biodynamic!

Hi QBee, I saw one for sale in Ryton garden centre bookshop last week although the website has an email reminder feature and newsletter which you sign up for at the top of the page. Alternatively keep reading my daily postings. I am going to Ryton again this weekend so I'll have another look! Long trip for you though, but the GC page is pretty good.
