  • Reminder Lunar Planting Schedule 30/4-1/5

Synodic - This is not a good time to be sowing anything in the garden. Instead use this time to weed and harvest from the garden. It is an excellent time to start building a new compost heap.

Biodynamic - Moon in Pisces/Water sign. Sow Leaf plants like Basil, Brussels Sprouts, Cabbages, Celeriac, Celery, Dill, Kale, Lettuce, Rhubarb, Seakale, Spinach, Swiss Chard, etc

      • There are good gardeners and there are poor gardeners.

Planting by the moon won't make a bad gardener good and ignoring the moon won't make a good gardner bad.

Just listen to the plants and give them what they want.

          • Just a reminder that this thread is for people who are following a lunar planting calendar to note when to plant or what they planted when. Discussions over whether lunar planting is good, bad, or indifferent should be taken elsewhere please

                      • Does anyone else plant out/pot on their lunar sown produce on the relevant day rather than any day? I do, just wondered if anyone else does.

                          • Ok, been away for a while (as with last time not on holiday away, just away from the computer) but have still been sowing and growing following the biodynamic moon calendar.

Hope everyone else is well and getting along alright!

                            • Just you and I at the moment! I am doing quite well - lots of time spent at the moment on watering and weeding. I am planting/potting on following lunar cycle do you? Interested in whether others follow right through.

                              • I'm here as well - from time to time!
I haven't managed to plant out / repot according to the cycle - it has been enough of a challenge with the sowing :-(
However - this weekend, time to pot on the chillis and aubergines into buckets - which I think will fit?
