Have done chap! Only harvested some taters so far, but I thought it might help make people's minds up one way or another.

            • Reminder 1-2 June

              Root Taurus
              NEW

              Synodic:
Sow leafy vegetables and annuals that produce above ground. Lettuce, Spinach, Asparagus, Broccoli, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Sprouts, Sweetcorn, Cucumber. Grains are also good to plant now. This is a good time to pick vegetables if they are to be stored.

              Biodynamic:
Moon in Taurus: This is a Earth sign. It is a good time to sow Root plants like Beetroot, Carrots, Chives, Jerusalem Artichokes, Kohl Rabi, Onions, Radish, Spring Onions, Swedes, Turnips. Fruits Harvested now will store for longer.

              Sidereal:
Moon in Taurus: This is a good time to sow Root vegetable crops

              • 29th July 2011 FOR THOSE THINKING OF SOWING SPRING CABBAGE/OTHER OVERWINTERING BRASSICAS

                NEW MOON

                Biodynamic:
Moon in Gemini: This is a Air sign. This is a good time to sow Flowering plants like Calabrese, Wormwood, but it would not be a good time to sow Rooting plants like Beetroot, Carrots, Jerusalem Artichokes, Kohl Rabi, Radish, Spring Onions, Turnips, Fruits Harvested now will store for longer.

                Sidereal:
Moon in Gemini: Barren and dry, and yet good for promoting flower growth.

                • Sown spring cabbage, lettuce, rocket, parsley and rosemary today. Planning more peas in a couple of days when it's fruit time. Succession sowing of PSB, calabrese and over winter cauliflowers too just been done. I am beginning to feel like this is the VVG show - anyone else out there?

I'm here - but to be honest, I tend to check direct the moon calendar from the link you gave, to see what i should be doing...

Thanks lots though for getting this thread going - it's really been worthwhile!

                        • Suggest you look at this link although now is end of season apart from overwintering veg such as onions, garlic, broad beans, early peas and planting of fruit trees maybe.
