Last Years Tomato Seed Question?

Last year I purchased a cherry tomoato plant called conchita from B&Q and it was a suttons Turbo grafted variety, see link...

They performed very well last year so I dried some seeds from some of the best fruit and I currently have some small 10cm high plants getting ready for this year. My question is as they are 'turbo' and 'grafted' will the seeds bear fruit this year as I have been reading this site it seems any modified varieties and 'f1' dont produce from their seeds the following year, is this correct or am I worrying too muuch.

As a back up I've just sown some gardeners delight which were free with a mag as a back-up.

I found a description of Conchita which reads “Average fruit weight 20 grams (0.75 oz) Long shelf life and firm fruits. Calyx stays green. Conchita may be used for truss harvest.” I can’t find a definite answer to whether it is F1 but I suspect it is as it seems to be a “supermarket” tomato.

No harm experimenting with the saved seed, if you’ve got room and don’t expect anything from them, personally I’d grow the Gardeners delight this season and for next year, look at the thousands of other varieties which aren’t bred especially for commercial use – you’ll find loads of threads on the subject on this forum for a start

Basically, as what king carrot says - give it a go (although I was going to say the usual method in saving tomato seed is fermenting it first, then discarding non viable seed, etc). Can't hurt - you've got time to sow more if they don't germinate
