Hi Newton, I think the trouble is, that threads fall in and out of favour. They'll get posted on, then they don't, and they fall to the bottom of the list. It's not a case of biased moderating I can assure you.

I would suggest you make a post on the 'What did you sow today' thread, and make sure your settings subscribe you to it, that way you can go to your list of subscribed threads (under 'Quick Links' on the toolbar), and check in on it whenever you like.

    Hope that helps.

We decided to not stick the sowing thread as it just confuses the issue of what people do each day - most will post on the long running and perfectly amenable 'what I did today thread'.

The Moon thread is stuck separately as it's a separate date related thread.

At this time of year there are various threads that more or less give the same answers. The lunar planting thread gives you ideas of what is being sown at this time as does the "What I did today thread" & now the "What I sowed today". I initially started the thread because it was directed only at sowing & not digging the plot, cleaning the greenhouse etc. Anyways, this is a great forum & my advice is that if you really want to enjoy it, just try & bite your tongue now & then........... It really is worth it.
Ok I do enjoy the banter along with the excellent advice from everyone

                  *unwisely sticking my nose in*

I think Newton perceives the lunar planting thread as kind-of proslytizing.

However, the thread is not an unfair "promotion" of lunar planting. It's just something that people are trying out, and one of the mods has a particular interest in testing it.

                  ....
                  But I understand his perception.
Lunar planting is something distinct from biodynamics (which is a broader system which includes lunar planting.)

However, biodynamic agriculture itself appears to be a crazy cult on a par with scientology.

Good grief. The lunar planting thread is stickied because a lot of people expressed an interest. It may not be your 'thing', in which case you are free to ignore it. Simples.
I was feeling part of the scenery

                      ?
I'm not sure if you're addressing me, but I've not expressed any opinion on lunar planting, or posted on any related thread except for this!
Thank you affirming my liberty to read or not read particular threads.
I have no problem with the lunar thread.

For all you know it might be my "thing".

I was addressing anyone who had issues with the lunar planting 'sticky'. This really does seem to be a mountain out of a molehill!

Ok, so you weren't addressing me then as i have no problem with the lunar sticky.

In fact, Seahorse I believe you're talking to yourself.

                            Biodynamics is a separate issue.

I though that moderators were there to ensure balanced discussion is allowed and lunar planting is in my opinion being overly promoted through the use of a sticky. Surely we are allowed to voice an opinion.

Ok I am a mod on this forum, I don't plant by the lunar calender as I don't have time. The reasons why the lunar thread is a sticky have been explained to you.

If you don't like the way this forum is moderated there are plenty of others you can join.
