  • Guttering - Spring onions and Little Gems?

Clearing out the garden today, found some nice guttering that's not needed any more.

Would it be OK for spring onions and little gems? Or would I be better off with some simple cut and come again salad leaves?

I have about 30ft of it.

You are so lucky! I have been sowing peas in mine, then planting out onto lottie. Only have 13' - it's a size thing!

Spring onions would be ok but Little Gem might find it a wee bit tight come maturity.CCA Salad leaves should be okay too

Could try radishes too. I've seen people on nearby plots doing this with success.

Standard half round might be a little tight for lettuce but if its Ogee style that alot more boxy and should be OK.
