  • Piccante peppers

    The little ones that are in the sweet vinegar.
    I have tried everything,growlight,heated prop,unheated prop,windowsill,gh
    Nothing,zip,zilch,nada,hee haw
    I surely cant have a full pack of duff seeds
    (obviously I am not trying to grow them in sweet vinegar)
    Any help appreciated,I was really excited about having these

      Had a google & the critical thing seems to be having a soil temperature of at least 15 degrees nearer 20 would be better,germination takes about 17 days

        if they're the round ones, I've got a packet from seeds of italy, ciliege piccante, I can send you some if you want to try them in case you have got a duff packet. Bought a new packet at the weekend, just sown mine so don't know yet if they're going to come up.

          try peat plugs....soak them in hot water from the kettle and put them in prop inside a sandwich bag.

            Taff, those are the exact ones I have,will be interesting to see if yours come through.
            I will give them one more go and if they fail then Peppadew will continue getting my cash
            I would put it down to me being a duff gardener but all my other peppers and chillies are doing fine
            Danmon, thanks but me and those peat/coir pots just dont get along
