Crushed seedlings, are they ok to carry on?

Hi, i accidentally dropped a computer speaker on some of my seedlings. the ones that got the worse of the brunt got snapped and were discarded. However, i have some left that survived it, but are missing one of their two leaves. Will these continue to grow?

They should do, they will fork off at the break. The ones that snapped off might have come back aswell.

You don't say what they are?

Oh, majority of them are tomato plants. a few sunflowers took the act of gravity aswell

I have a theory that you could trample, burn and re-trample tomatoes and they'd come back. I had one break clean in two last year. I put the top into a pot of compost, watered it and it did fine.

Of course, I lost all my toms to blight so it wasn't a complete success, but I don't baby them to start off. As long as they are warm enough I don't worry about them.

Tomato plants are tougher than they look, they'll be ok. Not too sure about the sunflowers though, but anything's worth a try before it gets composted. Good Luck.
