mine have all been in the conservatory for weeks which is a sort of halfway house, no heating and no double glazing, just faces south. They will go in the gh in a couple of weeks..S*d the housework I have a lottie to dig

I always germinate mine in the airing cupboard, but earlier in the year I found a clump of tiny seedlings in the soil(outside) that I believe had germinated from a tomato that had been chucked in there last year. I may try outdoor germination next year as an experiment
