I'm hoping to get mine in this weekend, (First & Second Earlies) but living very close to the sea we're pretty guaranteed to be frost free from now... Just checked my diary from last year and they went in on the 28th March, so about right.
Such a lot depends on where you are really, re frosts.
Life is brief and very fragile, do that which makes you happy.
Mine are going in this weekend - normally I'd only put the 1st earlies in now but as I'm having surgery in 10 days I thought I'd better get them all in the ground while I've got the chance. (Unless I can persuade OH to help out in the coming months)
Life is too short for drama & petty things!
So laugh insanely, love truly and forgive quickly!
I planted my earlies March 17th , potato planting day, my lates will go in around mid to end April - but live by the sea in the south so we are frost free earlier down here. I grow mine in potato grow bags as I have a roof top garden.
My earlies (International Kidney) went into bags last weekend.
My second earlies (Kestrel) and maincrop (Maxine) were planted today.
The only reason they weren't all done last week is that I couldn't be a***d.
