I've just been congratulating myself at my thriftyness having used the prunings of my Red Dogwood as peasticks. They look particularly attractive, BUT!! Sudden thought. Aren't Dogwoods related to willow? And does this mean I've just "planted" a lot of Dogwood cuttings?

Is it right that if you put the dogwood in boiling water and then plant them out they won't grow?

My OH is supposed to be cutting me some 2 x 1 into support frames for me to string between. I used it last year and found that better than sticks which I have used in the past. No chance of those rooting - hee hee!Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better...Albert Einstein
