Sowed some more strawberry since all that sprang up have vanished, except one, and even though people say it can take over 6 weeks for it all to sprout, I'm panicking and so, more.
I moved a couple of tons of manure. It gets tipped into the pathway through the middle of the allotments and you have to barrow it to your plot. I started moving it at 10:55 and finished at 2:45. I ache lol.
Another 8 bags of woodchippings added to my paths..........................

defrosted and filled up the bird baths ,defrosted the chooks water and gave them a few grapes , topped up the wild bird feeders now its off to the lottie

Yes, when I bought the fruit bushes I noticed all the seeds (thankfully after I'd gone through the tills!) priced at 39p per packet I think. I ran past them without buying - wasn't that very good? I've got all the seeds I need for this year and am trying not to buy more.
VVG - I expect they have more fruit bushes left - still time to get some if you fancy them. Not that I'm encouraging you or anything
Well - last weekend I sowed a load of onions from seed - keeping them cool (Not hard since its minus 6 in Chesham today :brrrrrrrrrr) but with plenty of light...today I sowed san marzano toms, joes long chillis, padron peppers and cali wonder peppers...keeping them warm (dont tell the missus they are in the baby changing room- always toasty in there!!!)...
Good job I cleared the last leeks, pots, parsnips & sprouts last weekend - soil is like rock now!
Put a few broad Beens in pots on the windowsill, spending the rest of the day trying to figure out where every things going to go when I start march lol
cleared the paths to the chooks then shoveled my way to the car . built a blow away in the home greenhouse going to use it for seed trays ,on the window cill in mini props sown some sweet orange peppers and some long red chillis variety not know as they were from tescos and seed saved . decanted a ltr and half of sloe gin, pulled up the last of my pot grown carrots
Fed chooks and sheep extra rations to keep out the cold.
Disturbed a happy little mouse family when using old animal feed sacks to sledge down the hill in the field.
Had words with teenage daughter who couldn't understand why I didn't want them in the polytunnel.
Checked lovely plants all snuggly under their fleece.
Home for roast beef with cauli and cabbage cut yesterday.....love Sundays
