      • After a hard.....days graft, I was so looking forward to seeing what fruit trees Lidl had in. What a waste of time. Instead I went to Poundstretcher & picked up a Stella Cherry & Golden Delicious Apple (couldn't find a pollinator for the apple so Fingers crossed there is one on the lottie)

O now you've reminded me - THAT'S what I was going to look for in Lidl today while I was out - the fruit trees

I thought that about Lidl trees - had a look tonight. Morrisons had Laxtons Superb and Charles Ross when I went to look. Biggest trees at Aldi though, second Morrisons, Lidl last!

Sowed Pot Marigold, Judas Tree, Cucumbers (three types), gherkins (two types), Celery (three types) and Lettuce. Worked for three hours in the greenhouse and garden. Ate lunch outside. Wearing only a vest top and jeans - I burnt my shoulders in FEBRUARY!
Saw my first bumble covered in pollen from the hellebores.
Bought ten bags of wood chips £1.99 from Lidl for the lottie paths.

              Loved it today

Poundstretcher trees are even bigger & better then Aldi, are 2 quid dearer but worth it. Plenty of choice too.

                    • Sprayed my greens with milk mixture - milk/water 1:5 - as that is supposed to fix my powdery mildew problem.

                        • Dug over one of the kiddies beds, cleared around five fruit trees and gave them a decent helping of compost, covered a few stubborn areas with wood/cardboard. Dug a little bit more. Raked the two beds I dug yesterday.....and, cos I'm ever so impatient and the sun was shining, sowed my first row of carrots and radish.
Oh, also brought home some strawberry runners and planted in pots for the back garden. (beasts always seem to get to them before me at the lottie)
