I put my sewn twirly French beans outside in their Morrisons pots in a sheltered space in my garden. Need more space fore potting on my toms. Took me a while what with the crutches an all and resting in between. But job done.
Also cleaned the bathroom (except the floor, can't get down there yet) and did some washing both of which are way too boring but a bit of an achievement under the circumstances.
Oh and made a rather nice bacon and broccoli pasta bake.

I got home quite late from work so decided to spend the night at home with the seedlings and little plants. Inspected the tomatoes and they're really quite dire, so decided to sow some more of the black russians and black krims. It might be way too late, but if I don't, I might end up with no toms at all lol
Also sowed some borage, lovage and chives. Have no idea how to grow borage and lovage so off to read up on it now

Cleared out the flowering sprouts, cabbage and kale and bought home 2 bin bags full for the hens. Smashed the stalks with a club hammer before putting in the compost. Dug over another bed, and planted cauli, romanesco and kale out.
Talked to another plotholder, and got the offer of the use of her push mower to do the paths around my plot.I could not live without a garden, it is my place to unwind and recover, to marvel at the power of all growing things, even weeds!
Now a little Shrinking Violet.

took the plunge and almost all but the smallest of my tomaotes to the unheated greenhouse
moved some of the trays of seedlings around on the free windowsill space
pulled up a couple of volunteer runners who had suffered over the last few weeks, (this isnt going to stop me planting out bigger more established plants this weekend)
watered indoor chillies that looked a bit droopy
a lot to do this weekend, the weather looks good in my area next week

Went to the lottie
Dug, lots
Weeded
Put up wigwams for beans
Chatted lots and lots- well its what the lottie is for isn't it?
Went to garden centre, bought more seeds (corn, squash, spring onion) some corn plants (lost mine to frost- the babycorn, and the cat- the regular corn. Grrrrr!) more compost and canes
Tied up the broad beans at home
Bit of digging at home, picked some rhubarb, lovely jubbly!
Talked nicely to the seedling squashes and courgettes, I lost the first lot, including all the special ones, they all just withered and died.
Sowed the new squash- honey bear.

Well not today but this week -
I levelled a one slab wide bit at the base of my slope to put more pots on and levelled a 2x2 slab patch by the fence also at the base of the slope to put the second mini greenhouse thingy in the sun. Phew
Repotted lots of stuff - squash, courgettes, toms. Pricked out Gardeners delight seedlings. Ate some radishes - YumNewbie but learning fast.
