Made 4 kilos of blackcurrant jam and froze 4 bags of French beans.went on snail hunt with torch but only found a few.

Took my Son with me to allotment and got a bit more dug over before he proclaimed 'Tired now' then sat down on the soil muttering 'bedtime' and laying his head on my welly lol.
Second bed is about 1/4 done now but the rain after the sunny weather has started some grass growing so I will have to nip that in the bud.

Photos from my allotment, Wednesday. These are all inside the polytunnel, which is why the pumpkins are ripening so early. The toms are also starting to ripen. No sign of blight yet, thankfully.

As the cunning greasy pole plan didn't work against the Ninja snugs, last night I stood the containers with the young (but a big chewed) bras' on upturned buckets on the patio, sprinkled a few smarties around and this morning, no snug damage, but loads of dead bodies One snail had survived (he probably climbed whilst humming the Mission Impossible theme tune), but then he was propelled into the air and crashed into the side of the shed.
