It woz VC wot led me on

Been to lotty and some beep beep has walked all across my Gertrude Franck bed. God job I decided to sow spinach today wasn't it. Anyhow, I haven't as I am waiting to see if they would care to stick their big boots across it again. So after taking pictures, I have added Rockdust to this final bed and hoed it in. I have stuck a pole and bucket up to show the farmer where we want the muck - he had dumped it somewhere else and the grateful folks have started to use their free manure!
I have planted Red Sun shallots and some horseradish thongs that I took out of the garden. I lifted half of the strawberry plants from the old fruit bed. Zazzy you have another three trug loads, with some more yet to come, will drop off over weekend
Aside from that pillock and his boots, I felt quite happy.

        • Aaghh! Dropped a tray of 5 tomato plants on the bedroom floor. Compost everywhere but the plants seem to be just about okay. I potted them into bigger pots and buried the stems a bit deeper - hope they'll survive...

Pricked out some brassica seedlings - PSB, calabrese, brussels sprouts and caulis.

Also potted on four Big Banana red peppers.

Bought some cheap compost from Aldi - seems okay for the price.

          • I have a compost bin which I inherited off a family member and put down my allotment last year also had several bags of semi decomposed compost with it which i just chucked back in so after a year of letting it sort itself out I decided to spread what was in it over my strawberries and onion/garlic with tonights expected rain likely to help it get into the plants if theres any good in it!

Just waiting for warmer weather really now as allotment tidy and beds all ready to go now!

            • Ok so i put in a good 2 1/2 hrs down the lottie. Managed to weed through the raspberries and rhubarb. Moved the raspberries that where not with the others so that they are all in a neat row. Empty the compost bin onto the raspberries and rhurbarb patch. Put the pile of rotton runner beans in the nice empty compot bin. Finish digging the biggest of three plot. And dug half the second plot. Start a bucket of weedy water liquid feed. Now sat on my sofa with a cup of coffee, two dogs and a slice of tiger bread yummy

              • Sowed sprouts, lettuces, sorrel, dill, coriander, basils (4 types), thyme, gherkins, sping onions.
Netted the garlic/shallots with high hoops as this is the ONLY place that the young cats like to play. Why use an empty bed...
Potted up a dahlia because I dropped it.
Helped (watched) OH fell two trees.

I also sowed some sprouts. "bedfordshire champion" and "Maximus".
Broke down some pallets and stored wood in shed.

                          • I measured out the back garden for drainage pipe, 50m should do it. It was too late and too wet to do anything else.

                            • Riddled yet more compost, three compost bags full of carrot mix now... should be enough for the long ones, still need to make mix for the short ones.

Bought a decent rhubarb crown, and a new blueberry bush.

                              • Decided I need to fence off a bit of garden from the Asbos so things may actually stand a chance to grow. Had a look in shed & found some green garden wire trellis stuff - enough to make a small fence -yippee! Little s*ds arent supposed to eat onions, chives & discovered my rhubarb is no longer b*o*d* Asbos
