    • Back to college at garden organic after a couple of weeks off. Then quickly in the garden doing a plant shuffle to make space for some more grow bags.

However that was cut short by a request from my 3 year old to push her on the swing.......then they all wanted me to cook them tea.

Rest of the toms in growbags tomo tho so looking forward to that!

        • checked on my plot, out of the 24 peas i sowed about 2 weeks ago not one germinated, all rotted /: I sowed them in 2 rows about 1ft apart and had fleece over them,

I sewed peas at home too in guttering and they rotted too, dont know if im doing something or is it the supplier, im going to order more seeds, and try a different variety I think /:

Put up a temporary barrier around my Broad Beans as they look a sorry sight after the ghales.

checked on my drills, My kale/turnips and sprouts are coming up

Started hardening off my outdorr tomatoes.

Constructed an archway for my Runners.

& noticed aphids on my strawberries and masses of teeny eggs on my spinach?

                • Ok, so not quite as keen as Hawthorns... I was on the plot at 9am and thought that was early enough!

Took 2 black cherry tom plants down to plant in the polytunnel. I was showing the neighbouring plot holder and he thought I was offering him one of the plants and took it thanking me profusely. I didn't have the heart to say it wasn't for him. He has said I can have one of his beefsteak in return so it will probably turn out ok! I still have 6 more black cherry in the greenhouse anyway.

So planted ONE tomato plant in the polytunnel. Think I may have planted it a bit too close to the corner actually. I have put some fleece up behind it to protect it a bit from any draughts from the "windows".

Planted zuchini courgette in the coldframe.

Weeded and hoed (doing a bit every time I go up) and then planted under one side of the bean arches some mixed salad leaves, radishes and beetroot. Also dotted some nasturtium seeds all around the allotment - some by the broad beans to act as a black fly deterrent and just scattered round the paths and ends of beds.

Bought some lime but decided it was a bit too windy to try to sprinkle some round the brassicas already planted.

Edited to add - just potted on purple cauliflower and evesham brussels sprouts. Sowed more coriander, basil and parsley seeds.

                          • Planted out 30 X Belstar F1 Calabrese plants and covered with netting. I was pleased to see how quickly the cabbage and brussel sprout plants I planted a couple of days ago have perked up. All were watered hopefully for the last time and they can find there own water after that. (unless they wilt of course when I will give them some more water)

                            • So far...
Gave some tomato plants to my mum...
Potted on and organised my tomato plants... Not one left in the house now...
With greenhouses getting full, I left a few to take their chances in a coldframe...
I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives....

                              ...utterly nutterly
