    • Just used my nematodes in the garden whilst it was raining. Watered all over the decking as I reckon there are a lot of slugs under there. Also my leek plants have arrived today (given up on my own seedlings) but I have a sewing class tonight so don't think I'll make it to the plot to plant them. They may have to wait until tomorrow.

      • Cut back some of the Ivy at the side of the house. Green bin full

Dug over a bit more at the allotment - really warm and muggy over there. Hope it will rain tonight as forecast.

        • Took delivery of a patio cherry and plum, to go with the pear received last week. I'm not used to such tiny trees
Received some cuttings of a Giant Thyme and a fly-hungry Butterwort from a Grape and some Treacleberry seeds from another Grape. Thanks Both
          Potted up the cuttings.
Planted out 4 Achocha - 2 to scramble over a horizontal clematis and 2 in a shadier spot. Tried to grow them last year but they didn't fruit.
Dodged the rain for most of the day!

          • Weeded a bed (Got the nettle rash on my arm to prove it!)

Dug over same bed but I am undecided what to put in it. Because its slightly shaded I may opt for some kale plants which i have waiting in the wings ready to go out.
I'll need to make some more plastic hoops and net the bed If I do though!

Only two smaller beds to do then both allotments will be fully set. Beetroot I think for one bed and a couple of yellow courgettes in the other.
Looking forward to weeding my herb wheel as the different aromas are quite theraputic!

            • [QUOTE=Two_Sheds;1138570]- unpacked some more sacks of autumn leaves, mixed them with grass clippings, and repacked

What a good idea! You have just solved two difficulties for me at a stroke - speeded up the leafmould and found somewhere other than the too-wet dalek to put the grass clippings. Thank you.

Thought what the hell opened a new packet of parsnip seeds and sowed some to fill in gaps (raining now , the whole bl'ddy lot will probably come up)
Lifted the shallots that had lifted themselves no hung up in conservatory to dry
Potted up more chillies and aubs .....
Sowed some more frenchies to pop in when the rest of the shallots come out .....
Did some jammin' ......rhubarb and ginger
