There's so much to do ! I can't cope
- moved my newspaper/card mulches where it's successfully killed the weeds, onto other weeds (it saves hours of weeding)
- finished cutting down rasps. The canes are now drying out, to be used as pea sticks
- sowed chitted peas direct under enviromesh (against pigeons, sparrows & hopefully pea weevil)
- cleared another bed of green manures to plant 2 dozen mizuna
- put the pulled-up GMs onto the beds that need improving. They'll rot down on their own, no digging in
- transplanted self-sown flowers to the perimeter fencing areas, which were weedy & are now becoming flower beds instead (if Mr Nobody can refrain from weedkilling them this year)
- mowed the paths & spread grass clippings on the beds
- started turning all the daleks
- moved 8 sacks of leafmould from home up to the lotty, to be used in the potato beds next year
- found the remaining carrots are throwing out new leaves: I don't want them to self-seed, so dug up for the guinea pigs
- cleaned out the GPs and took their poopy bedding up the lotty
- scattered blood, fish & bone over the onion beds
- planted out shallots, putting a few leaves of caliente mustard in each planting hole (against white rot)
- & 3 trays of winter cress, which did nothing all winter in the gh (not enough light). They'd recently got smothered in greenfly, so it was plant them outside or compost them.
