Where do I start?...........Oh yes........ Fitted 2 coat racks, restored power to an outbuilding. Fitted PIR light to said outbuilding. Cut down a lethal bush so I could see the beach, made one raised bed & planted some tatties...............and to cap it off we lose an 'ours kip.

In the garden from 8:30 until 6 today- beautiful warmth in the sun. Dug out about 10 square metres of top and subsoil to commence patio construction, using the spoil to make what will become a wildflower bank at the back of the garden. Then planted in yesterday's (absolutely top notch) delivery from Blackmoor - a Japanese red gooseberry, and two more apple trees (Orleans Reinette and American Mother, which were buy one get the other free). Then pruned the (wild) blackberries in the front hedge, and put in nine raspberry canes too.
Might need to change my username now....Take a look at my blog too

Potted up the new red rose bush
Potted up the new white rose ... that isn't ...
Helped a neighbour lay a soaker hose and figure out how to close off one end and connect the other to plain hose without proper fittings
Researched a few companion plants
Resisted the urge to buy said companion plants just yet
Went a few miles North up the motorway for to watch Derren Brown on stage
Got back late (or early this morning), opened a can of cider and watered the seedlings
Still no signs of life from one of the chilli varieties, the strawbs are being painfully slow to develop, and I'm starting to wonder how long I can realistically keep the melon plants, dahlias and queensland arrowroot on the windowsillLast edited by AllInContainers; 30-03-2014, 02:10 AM.

Managed to construct 2 double rows of netting ready for the mange tout, hopefully will be strong enough.
Removed netting from broad beans, make it easier for the bees to get to the plants, that are looking quite good.
Had a joint whinging session with another 'lottie', chatted to another about getting lost whilst looking for bags of 'year old rotted stable manure,' and allowed another Lottie use of my plot for an Easter egg hunt, for his children, now i'm thinking, but it's not Easter today it's Mothering Sunday. Confused !DottyR

My wife took me and my kids up a mountain for a nice ice cream and we come across this little fellow went to wilko and got some onion sets, weed fabric, a few pots and 2 gravel trays few bits and pieces! Popped to argos and bought a trampoline.
Then popped to tesco but were not doing Mother's Day today as my son is on a school trip and I'm unable to get up in the morning without help so I gave my wife an IOU for when I'm able to do the lay in with breakfast in bed etc

Put the netting up for my Telephone and Purple Podded peas then planted out Broad beans that I'd grown in loo rolls. After that it was shuffling things from the GH to my tin bath (aka cold frame ) and I've just bought the toms out of the Gh back on the bedroom window sill.
Plus we opened up the trailer tent for the first time this year, love the smell of canvasLocation....East Midlands.

After allotment AGM yesterday managed to re-let four plots today from the waiting list.
I have been slowly digging my strawberry plants out of there weed infested bed and transplanting into two newly prepared clean beds.
Today I started work on clearing the original bed of couch grass, bindweed and thistle roots. Managed to dig over half the bed and filled two sack fulls of roots.
This bed will become an onion bed. The onion sets are waiting in the wings, already planted into modules but are getting rootbound now.
I will be back at allotment tomorrow evening after work to show another likely punter around a plot and hopefully take payment for plot and gate key afterwards. While I'm waiting I will hopefully be able to finish the bed I started digging today. My Majesty made for him a garden anew in order
to present to him vegetables and all beautiful flowers.- Offerings of Thutmose III to Amon-Ra (1500 BCE)

Built a "Rose Arch" planted a couple of climbing red rose "Love Knot" with a view to sectioning off areas as the "Designer's" call "Room's" we're getting there, slowly!
Started the "Tatties" 2 bags of "Orla" 2 of "Pinks Fir" 2 of "Maris Peer" n 4 "Charlotte" still 5 to do, but undecided as to what!
The "Shallot's" I'd given up all hope on are now making a major "Comeback"
Reinforced the "Summer House" with "Aluminium" sheeting, again shiny n dug out of a skip!
All in all a very productive weekend!
Off for a bath, a few beers n food!"Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit, wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salad"
