                      • Went to the allotment with loads of plans, didn't quite work out. Managed to do some weeding, while the little helpers cleared the old kale plants.

Then they got bored, started messing about, I got cross, it started raining, so we came home

                            • Noticed the daffs need deadheading, but didn't do it.
                              Noticed the horseradish peeking through
Noticed the Chinese Artichokes peeking through
Noticed the new Medlar tree appears to have flowers buds
Noticed the heathers look a lot healthier now they've been trimmed
Noticed the lovage is forming a nice healthy clump just above soil level
Noticed the apple trees are starting to leaf now
Noticed the first of what may be flower buds on the raspberries
Noticed the ramsons are still being slower than expected, but am expecting better next year
Noticed several of the young plants on my windowsill won't stop in those size pots comfortably till the end of May which puts me at a space defecit again

Decided all that effort I put in over the last few months has been worth it, and that making a concerted effort towards lower maintenance plants was a real smart move too

                              • Potted on some Rosemary and various tomatoes.
Washed a load of various sized pots and saucers.
Did a tray of Sweetcorn, Canadian Wonder Beans and almost did a tray of reet skinny french beans - but forgot
                                Watered a few things.
Muttered about the seed compost that has set like concrete (I might need to repot some things).
Weeded, then weeded some more and even more.

Extended a bed a bit and then much more around the corner, digging out ivy, brambles, ferns, whips, creeping buttercup, bricks, boulders, a saucepan (with half a brick in it), iron mesh, glass, ceramic tiles, clay pipe, roof tiles and finally gave up on the 2 inch diameter iron pipe after digging down a few feet making no discernable progress.

                                Potted on more toms.

Decided I need to make the beds more permanent with edging and paths.
While wearing your night clothes, plant cucumbers on the 1st May before the sun comes up, and they will not be attacked by bugs.
