Tidied and prepared the first greenhouse.
Planted out in the second greenhouse.
Erected a sturdy line of canes and a cane wigwam, and repaired a line of canes still up from last year.Pain is still pain, suffering is still suffering, regardless of whoever, or whatever, is the victim.
Everything is worthy of kindness.

Put the last few onion sets in because I can't bare to waste them. They were £1.50 from wilko and there was loads. Did a bit more clearing of the plot with the help of my dad and then ate my mums roast lamb.

Re-potted, re-potted, re-potted. Then tricked my neighbour's brother (who has come to visit for a couple of weeks and who conveniently has a car) into driving me to the garden centre because I ran out of compost. Then re-potted some more plants, kicked half of them out of the greenhouse and reorganized the rest of the plants in there. Then watered all the outside plants because they looked like they needed it, and sowed some more courgettes, chicory and peas.

After getting my 1959 Morrris 1000 running and driving on its own power for the first time in 40 years I was on a bit of a high so decided to go to the garden centre to see if anything was cheap, and then to the allotment.
Bought 8 Celariac plants in a punnet,3 mahoosive garlic in a blister pack and some Swift 1st early spuds. Bit late to be planting 1st earlies, but the way i look at it, I'll be eating them when everyone else is sick of the sight of them!
Had a bit of a natter with a couple of plothoders then set to weeding and digging a bed for my spuds. All weeded and dug over now just need a couple of barrow loads of muck. One barrow load of home made stuff (just like a loam) and one barrowload of some hoss muck that gets delivered to the allotments for free.

Sent two emails complaining about 'non germination' of Courgettes yellow, Zucchini, and Patty Pans squash.
Potted up, Tumbling Toms, and some Coriander.
Went to Plot and removed Volunteer potatoes, from onion bed, and prepared another bed ready for courgettes, squash, when I can get some to germinate!DottyR

BTW, did I mention I've got chooks?
Today, with a lot of help from a friend, I've raised the fencing around one of the runs to 6' so that they can stay out all day in safety.
Also cleared some ground at the foot of a fence and planted out some Golden Sweet and Eat All mangetout, and some Beltony Blue peas.
T shirt weather all day, though I fear rain is on its way - at least it will water the peas in!!

Went to Haskins and bought a weed removal tool for my Wolf Garten collection, slug pellets, a hose and reel set, some bedding plants and two tomato plants. The weed remover is wonderful; I used it to dig up some annoying ferns. I also planted all the plants and scattered the slug pellets.
The hose reel was really annoying. The instructions were just pictures, which weren't easy to follow. I wasn't expecting to need a degree in order to assemlble it! I looked online for instructions, but only found an unhelpful YouTube video that wasn't for the model I'd bought. After a great deal of swearing, Mr S and I managed to put it together, only to find I need an adapter to make it fit our kitchen mixer tap. Ba, humbug!
