I'm only about 100 mile north of you Jake so I'm sure my toms will be fine, thing is I grow in my back garden so I don't see what anyone else is doing.

        • First day back at work for a few! And hated every minute of it! but picked up a "Strelitzia Reginae" (Bird of Paradise) so all was not lost!

Moved the tom's down to the "polytunnel" at "Lottie"

Not as advanced as some "Fellow Grapes" but I'm happy with em!

          Chillie"s I'll nurture a little further

All in all! It's going to plan!

          • Sowed seven rows of St Valery carots and eight rows of Autumn King 2 carrots. Hand weeded another bed, hoed any small seedlings and planted a dozen leeks i'd grown from a show strain. Also planted out about 25 Kelsae onions I'd started in modules.

              • My tomatoes, peppers and chillis have been in the unheated greenhouse for at least 4 weeks now and are doing fine. All the tomatoes have at least their first truss of flowers and a few chilli peppers are beginning to flower.

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

                • Faffed with aubergines, covered them in fleece

Moved tomatoes into the poly for a bit of room, they will go out onto the plot eventually. They were looking a bit bored and upset. Still covered with fleece.

                          • Didn't get round to planting more shallot but I did get a row of potatoes in before the heavens opened and emptied it's self all over the allotment. Gunna nip back after tea and burn the old shed and other bits and bobs.

                            • Washed pots, used up all the newly cleaned pots, despaired and gave up. Instead I went down to the allotment and planted out some red onions I sowed ages ago. I am pleased to report that the celeriac and sprouts I planted out a few days ago are still happy to be outdoors in the sunshine.
