2 hrs of shredding hazel branches which were too small to use in the crafts we do.
6 barrows full now spread as a mulch!

Watered the few plants I have on the plot where I met another plot holder who said I needed to rotivate mine. When I said I was going to dig he burst out laughing and said I would never be able to dig a full plot on my own. I will now dig it if it kills me!

But "Bank Holiday" this next one! 3 days off! Yay!!!!!!!!!

Dug out 3 tree stumps. One was easy, two were not... What's left...
Now, my hands are covered in blisters, but can finally start working on garden border.

Donned gloves and pulled out all the three foot high nettles from my secondary greenhouse border.There was also a physallis edulis (Cape gooseberry) which i toyed with keeping, but in the end it got the chop also.
Decided the greenhouse bedsoil wasn''t deep enough so went to scrounge a board to put along the bottom to heighten it.. Founnd a board on a disused plot. There must have been a bees nest under it as they were all swarming around me when I tried to move it.
After making a hasty retreat I found another board elsewhere.Put board in position and secured with three short canes.
The board is about 12" high so not having enough home made compost to fill the bed I resorted to filling it half full with hoss muck.
By that time i'd lost a bit of sweat so decided to finish it another evening.

Planted out the sweet peas on a rustic wigwam. Made more comfrey tea. Planted out sunflowers and calendulars. Potted on loads more basil. Planted out nasturtiums that had gone a bit tryffidish in the stayput. Tied in toms. Wish I'd watered, but it's too late now, my PJs are on
