Just watering today. The thirsty ones are making themselves known. Mainly the cardoon and dahlia yams. The dahlias spruce up in a matter of minutes from having a good drink, the speed of "recovery" is remarkableLast edited by AllInContainers; 21-05-2014, 09:36 PM.

Not going to get much done outside over the next day or two as its raining. But yday i put up the frame for my french climbing beans. I also add 4 wheelbarrow loads of manure to the bean bed. Also potted on some leeks. I already have around 40 in the ground but these are a late variety.
Bit of news. Had a interview for a part time/casual driving job at a local car dealership on monday. They called Tuesday and offered me the job. Hopefully the hours should fit in with me looking after my son.Chris

Planting out day - pak choi (red & green), turnips (veitches red globe and snowball), mizuna, kale nero and thousand head.
Potted on red cabbages as they have stalled but are too small to survive flea beetle attck.Le Sarramea https://jgsgardening.blogspot.com/

Organised my greenhouse watering buckets. Topped them with the soil buckets and planted up ( - got tired so will have to do the rest tomorrow) so far 3 melons, and three Telepathy cucumbers.
They are much smaller than I have grown in previous years by this stage so I hope they put a bit of a spurt on.
