I have a grand total of two

Just watering today. The thirsty ones are making themselves known. Mainly the cardoon and dahlia yams. The dahlias spruce up in a matter of minutes from having a good drink, the speed of "recovery" is remarkable

      • Not going to get much done outside over the next day or two as its raining. But yday i put up the frame for my french climbing beans. I also add 4 wheelbarrow loads of manure to the bean bed. Also potted on some leeks. I already have around 40 in the ground but these are a late variety.

Bit of news. Had a interview for a part time/casual driving job at a local car dealership on monday. They called Tuesday and offered me the job. Hopefully the hours should fit in with me looking after my son.

            • Have just potted up two cucamelon plug plants which arrived in the post from Suttons. A bit of a mystery, because I've never ordered anything from Suttons - but anyway, at least getting freebies is better than getting junk mail.

                          • Organised my greenhouse watering buckets. Topped them with the soil buckets and planted up ( - got tired so will have to do the rest tomorrow) so far 3 melons, and three Telepathy cucumbers.
They are much smaller than I have grown in previous years by this stage so I hope they put a bit of a spurt on.
