        • Planted out corn, red canadian kidney beans and rocdor yellow haricot beans.
          Cut edges around three beds.
Removed creeping buttercup which had established around the edges of the cardboard mulch. Lovely soil underneath.
Pausing for tea and lemon drizzle

That's a lovely photo, was wondering how you managed to post a large photo using the app, mine come out no larger than the thumbnail.

Today I've been in my brassica cage replacing a couple of sprouts that had failed to grow.

Bren try using the main site, to upload from your iPhone, it seems to post them larger.

              • Watering, weeding and chopping down grass and nettles with shears.

The snugs had been after my lettuce despite me leaving the weeds to grow so that they would have some native plants to eat! So now it's war, all the weeds are coming up and the shotgun is coming out. (Metaphorical shotgun that is. Probably just use a bucket and extreme vigilance).

Here's the lettuce patch half weeded:

And here's some snugged Iceberg (they seem to like these the best):

                  • Potted on sweet peppers to there final pot, potted on jack o lantern pumpkin plant and also the butternut squash in to final pots. Fed tomatoes with tomorite and potatoes with some potash, planted chard ( traffic light ? ) never grew it before so we'll see how that turns out and also pak choi also never grew this so we'll see how that goes too. Swore at the bare brown stems left after the sweet basil decided to surrender...again... Can't seem to get that to grow! Rejoiced and danced after seeing new buds and leaves forming on my hot banana chilli plant! Browsed the raised bed and was shocked to find the carrots had doubled in size almost overnight, sprouts are looking good too....gave it all a water and then sat down with a brew and the first strawberry of the year! Lovely

Got back and had a cocktail; 50ml Baileys, 25ml Amaretto, 25ml Southern Comfort and 25ml Cointreau

Potted my last 2 toms into their final buckets - Golden Sunrise. Now only have GGs 4 Yellow Pear that will go into Long Tom pots tomorrow and will live in the comfort of the stayput.

I found beer traps worked really well. ASDA Smart Price Bitter works a treat!
