  • Harvested the "Shallot's" now drying with the "Garlic"

After tidying up the third "Break in" in two weeks!

Totally "Ransacked" the gaff n cleared me out of every tool I posses, well on the "Lottie" anyway!

    But on a plus note!

The "Brassica Cage" is nearly done! What an invention, them plastic "Zip Strips"

Showered, shaved, and off to eat, drink n be merry at my grandaughters 3rd birthday BBQ!

That looks amazing how did you construct the cage - do you mind me asking if it was expensive - sorry to hear about your break in

        • 3 break ins in 2 weeks!!! How frustrating for you

My friend had moved the last of her tomatoes out of the greenhouse and told me I could use the space as I like - spent the morning at the garden centre and came home with 2 decent pepper plants - a red and an orange, which were going cheap. Planted them up into 5L pots - they look better already. Noticed the potatoes I planted the other day (Sarpo Mira) are poking up through the compost already. Tied in the tomato shoots - some of them are already nearly hitting the roof of the greenhouse.

Had a walk around at home and checked for blight after a hefty shower early today, but all looks ok (fingers tightly crossed). Sowed some carrots in the pot that I harvested the last of the cabbages from yesterday. Noticed the white currants are nearly ready and the latest lettuces have germinated.

          • Bought some marigolds cheap and managed to make a complete border for my apple tree (baring in mind it won't fruit this year so I won't need to touch it) they keep the aphids off and look pretty at the same time ☺️

But at least your garlic and shallots look great, and they get a nice comfy chair to sit on whilst drying

                        • Planted out butternut and spaghetti squash. Can only wait another week for the rest of the onions as I need the space for my pumpkins. Watered everything. Well, almost everything. The dog got away with it

                              • Took my mange touts and netting down as they are finished, was a mess. Ground very hard and very dry, we really do need rain.
Ate some raspberries to keep me going.
