I've had three, one of each variety in my bloaway for nearly two weeks now and they're doing fine and still growing well, I've got moneymaker, gardeners delight and sweet million, still waiting afew more weeks for the outside one to go out though.

I aim for a minimum temperature of 10C - below that and they will not grow actively.

Might greenhouse-during-the-day and in-the-house-at-night be an option? (if greenhouse is near the house )

I really want to put mine out too, but I'm scared!!!
I've got a blowaway within my plastic greenhouse that I'm wanting to put them in. I also want to put some courgettes in there. My husband is resigned to the fact that he now works in a jungle ( all the toms are on his desk).
We should probably try to be patient
        ...good luck with that

I have a Max/Min thermometer in mine, so I can see how it behaves on a relatively cold night. My blow-away inside my very sheltered conservatory only just holds 10C on a relatively cold night (one without a sharp frost).

You could chuck an old duvet over the blowaway for the night?

Mine went into an unheated greenhouse last year in mid May and were severely nobbled by a late frost which went to -4 - so I won't be advising it. It does depend on the siting of your greenhouse and where in the country you live, though.

That frost nobbled lots of things. I'm hoping it was a one off and we don't get one this year. Be nice to get some plums this time. Mine are in and out at the mo. Metwrong said it was dropping to 4 soon so still at least a month of faff left

I've had chilli's, toms, melons, squashes, cucumbers and courgettes in my unheated greenhouse since late Feb/early March on black plastic shelving in black trays (to retain any heat from the daytime) and double wrapped in bubble wrap and they are all fine. I did the same last year and had very good crops from everything and no casualties.

My gh is showing min of 10c at night, so the toms are out there now, and they are loving the extra daylight - they've gone whoosh this week

                      Unheated polytunnel - yes

                      Blowaway - no!

I've had toms/peppers/aubreys in unheated greenhouse for ages [the same as smc]; and all my germinated squashes are now out there. They were under fleece for the first few weeks but now they are growing nicely....however my greenhouse is in a sheltered position and if a severe frost is predicted then a layer of fleece goes over the tender stuff; which at the moment is pretty much everything....

I will be introducing mine to the cold greenhouse next week but will bring them in at night. My night time temp in the g'house lately has been as low as 0deg. Too cold to overnight toms.

Mine need potting on for the third time so will do that tomorrow in the GH and leave them in there as its to be 21c outside tomorrow. Will still bring them in every evening though.

Mine are growing happily on the windowsills indoors. My blowaways blew away, so I haven't got replacement/s yet, still undecided, so I guess they'll not be going out for quite a while yet anyway.

I was about to, but my g/h then dipped to 5c last night so think i'll hold off for a couple of weeks. I need to sort out the watering for it first anyway!
