Is it too late to plant onions?

They're better if they've had a bit of frost!
Having said that- I've got 2 nets of onions sets to get in yet!!!!
( I'm presuming you're talking about sets and not sowing seeds????)

My onion set went in in October. Then the snow came and they didn't come up until late Jan and they're still tiny now. They've almost been caught by the Jan sown sees=d in the greenhouse!

Good cos I've still not done mine! Digging over the beds is such hard work as they're all new and I have to cut out inches of turf and double dig, removing all stones, then build frames round each bed to cover with anti -chicken netting before I can plant. It really slows things down!

Not got mine in yet. I planted overwintering ones in October, will take them out first.

Reckon I'll do mine end of this month, early May.

I've got a few red sets in modules waiting to go into containers, I don't plan on growing many this year.
