I went to work yesterday and forgot to open the greenhouse door, my trays of healthy and thriving tomatoes sitting under a plastic cloche inside the greenhouse to protect from the cold nights. By the time I got home, my lovely little seedlings had been cooked!! *sigh* time to start all over again.
Have to say though that we've all done something similar in the past- mine were inside a blowaway.
Big sign by front door next time as a reminder??????

It's a shame your not near me as it looks like I'll have quite a few spare plants that you'd be more than welcome to if you lived a bit closer. Hopefully they'll be someone else that can sort you out with a few spares nearer you as any you start now will fruit much later on!
Jiving on down to the beach to see the blue and the gray, seems to be all and it's rosy-it's a beautiful day!
If I nipped over to you, King Carrot, I would have the most expensive tomatoes in the world! Wish I could, tho and thanks for the offer! However, yesterday a friend has offered me some of her surplus. I have also just plante some more, and will have to accept that they will be later than I woul like. :-(
Oh sweetcorn! I do this EVERY year and then have to buy plants... I have avoided that this year so far. I have opened the top vent like window in the conservatory and put the seedlings under a table with newspaper over for some shade... you'll remember this next year. Its not too late to get some started now
