I have decided to split 1 of each of my plants,(cuke, tom, etc) and feed it liquid granular feeds, sulphate of potash, calcium nitrate to compare to normal organic feeds that i use,(chicken manure, bonemeal, etc),my question is that i have had these granular feeds delivered in clear bags with no hint of a clue as to a dilute ratio to water-watering can of 1.5 litres would be nice to know, anyone help?

anyway i have granular feed -looks like perlite balls,i have calcium nitrate, potash granules-both look the same,i was wondering what the dose was to a plant when potting,do you mix it in with the potting compost or mix it in round the root when re-potting,i am growing in pots and buckets as my beds won`t be ready this season!Any help as to dosage for the calcium and potash would be appreciated i dont want to burn them you see.Has anyone dissolved these into water and used as a liquid feed?

"Calcium deficiency shows as poor growth and specifically blossom end rot in tomatoes, heart rot in celery, tip burn in lettuce and bitter pit in apples" It's quite a specific chemical to use.
I'd prefer the balanced slow-release BFB myselfLast edited by Two_Sheds; 17-04-2011, 08:49 AM.All gardeners know better than other gardeners." -- Chinese Proverb.
