I'd suggest making sure they are not too wet (I have a bad habit of watering too much!) and then get them into the airing cupboard to see if the warmth might possibly help
How long is "a while ago"? If a few days, you might be lucky - if a few weeks, then I would not be too hopeful :-(
If not, did you sow all the seeds you had? If you are completely out of seeds, check the board Seed Swap, there might be some spares there

Hi Greencrystal
Have you checked the expiry date of the seeds? You say you bought them last year on offer, I'm wondering if they were being sold cheap because they are old seed (which wouldn't germinate very well if at all)? Not that I'm cynical about special offers or anythng ;-)
Windowsill/greenhouse should be fine I would have thought, hope you sow some more and have success. Everything catches up in the end!

Start them, as the others have said, indoors. Not too wet, not too dry, not too cold and not too hot, lol
What I do:
- fill pot with compost, poke a hole about 1cm deep (less for tiny seeds)
- pop in seed, cover loosely with compost
- stand pot in water for 10 mins
- drain it, then let it sit somewhere warm until it germinates. Dark is OK, but check them dailyAll gardeners know better than other gardeners." -- Chinese Proverb.
